We can accommodate all your scanning requirements in-house at The Vault, whether you need low resolution scans for use on the web, or files for reproduction at the largest print sizes. Our machine scans are available in a variety of sizes as packages including processing, or if you have an assortment of ready processed transparencies and negatives you can opt for a single resolution for all and the cost per scan will decrease with quantity. All originals will be air-dusted before scanning to ensure the end result is as clean as possible, and can be burnt to disc in either a jpg or tiff format on our Fuji Frontier system, which also gives a low resolution version for easy emailing or uploading. These can be produced from all formats of film up to 120 or 220 size. If you require scans from either 5x4 or 10x8 format film and flat artwork (or simply need larger files than the Frontier can provide) then our Finescan 2750 will ensure fantastic quality in one of two versions. A 'finished pro-scan' is ideal for those copying small artworks, negatives or transparencies which need to be production ready. These scans will be cropped, spotted, fully colour corrected and sharpened to ensure the best result from your original- perfect for those with minimal artworking ability or the time to do so. A 'raw pro-scan' is also available at 50% of the listed price and will be roughly cropped with a minimal colour correction to ensure neutrality. Scans from our professional quality Finescan can be requested as RGB, CMYK or Grayscale in either a Jpg or Tiff format. If you are unsure how large a scan you require, our staff will be able to advise you- alternatively take a look at our conversion chart which shows print sizes alongside equivalent file sizes. Both machine scans and Pro-scans operate on a first-come first-served basis and are usually completed in 2 to 3 working days subject to current workload. Larger quantities of scans (i.e. collections for archiving) can also be accommodated- prices and turnaround times will be quoted individually by a member of staff.
